About Our Pastor
Rev. Mark Harkness
Rev. Harkness and his wife, Kimela are the proud parents of three children. Rev. Harkness received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Johnson C. Smith University through a swimming scholarship. Rev. Harkkness pledged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity in 1983.
Rev. Harkness accepted his call to preach in January 1998 under the guidance and tutelage of the late Rev. Dr. Kenneth Marcus at Turner Chapel AME in Marietta. He earned his Master of Divinity degree in May of 2023 at ITC in Atlanta. Rev. Harkness also received his ordination as an Elder in the AME Church in May 2003.
His hobbies include fishing, golf, bowling and watching his boys play sports and his daughter dance. Rev. Harkness has three children, Mark II, Kayla and Derek. Luke 1:37 is his guiding scripture - "For with God, nothing is impossible.
